Exkursionsbericht zum internationalen Event bei LC Lyon

From April 9th to 13th 2025 we from LC Karlsruhe were invited to an international event hosted by LC Lyon and got to spend a few unforgettable days there.

We arrived on Wednesday and were warmly welcomed at the Welcome Dinner in the LC room. We stayed overnight at the homes of LC Lyon members which was really great because it helped us get to know the city and the people even better. In total around 10 people from the LCs Belgrade Karlsruhe and Hacettepe took part.

Thursday started with a campus tour. After that we hiked up to the famous Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière. The climb was absolutely worth it – the view over Lyon and even all the way to Mont Blanc was amazing. In the evening we had the International Night where we got to try food from lots of different countries. Delicious food and such a great atmosphere.

On Friday and Saturday we explored Lyon even more. We went on long walks through the city visited the Villeurbanne district which was super interesting because of its architecture and its history as a working-class neighborhood and we also took a relaxing boat tour on the Saône. Saturday night was the farewell party which we celebrated properly of course.

On Sunday it was already time to say goodbye. We returned home with lots of new impressions great memories and new friendships.
