On June 6th 2024 the ICEC civil engineering competition of the IACES university group took place in Karlsruhe. The participants took on three exciting challenges:
- Concrete consistency – finding the right mix for fresh concrete using plasticizers
- Innovative design – creating a new walkway concept for the Durlacher Tor area
- Tower challenge – building a stable sand and water tower using limited materials like nets skewers and rubber bands that had to hold a 3 kg weight for at least one minute
The winning team successfully completed all tasks and will represent Karlsruhe at the international final in Timisoara Romania.
