bauma Exkursion 2025 - 2 Tage in München

bauma excursion day 1
On the morning of April 8th 2025 we set off on our two-day excursion to bauma. After arriving at our accommodation we took the train straight to the exhibition grounds. Our first stop was Wolffkran. There we learned how cranes are connected using bolts the difference between two and four hoisting ropes and how maintenance can be supported using virtual reality.
After a traditional white sausage breakfast we continued to Layher. The focus there was on safety at construction sites and how scaffolding can first be planned digitally and then checked on site using augmented reality.
Next we visited Wirtgen. We learned more about crushers asphalt and how road construction projects are carried out.
Our last visit of the day was to Liebherr. What stood out most were the massive machines and cranes they had on display.
In the evening we returned to the youth hostel.
bauma excursion day 2
On April 9th 2025 we started the second day of our bauma excursion. After a good night's sleep at the hostel we began the day with some free time to explore the various exhibitors and machines on our own.
At 1:30 pm we had a guided tour at Herrenknecht. We learned about different tunneling methods and the machines used for them.
After the tour we had more free time to explore topics that were of personal interest. One highlight was definitely the giant hydraulic excavator Komatsu PC-7000.
Another exciting highlight was the 3D printer called “Instatiq” which we had already seen on a previous trip to Putzmeister where it was still known as “Karlos”. It was impressive to see how the project had developed and on which new sites the printer is now being used.
We would like to thank all the companies that supported this excursion. We gained many exciting insights and learned a lot.
